Dear “New Found Asshole” (Congrats on finding it, by the way, I found mine years ago but I’m sure you’re very proud.)

Oh, where do I start…

I’ll start with the beginning. “Dear ‘Females’” 
Bro-tip: If you refer to a person as a “female”, you come off as a complete douche. It shows you have no respect for women.

Next up, “When you get a great guy, you ignore him, call him your best friend or some shit like that…”  Sorry, but if I call someone my best friend, that does NOT mean I’m ignoring them!  It means I have a lot of respect for them, and deeply value our friendship.  If you think that a girl calling you her best friend is the same thing as ignoring you, you clearly are a shitty friend. 

Sorry to break this to you, Nice Guy, but she’s allowed to sleep with (or not sleep with) whoever she pleases. She doesn’t owe you anything. And you were never a “Good Guy” if you believe she does.

THIS for commentary.

The person who wrote this letter (and all of you, actually) should read this article about ‘The Nice Guy’. It probably phrases what you think in a much more articulate way, as I have found with many of his articles. Heck, his whole blog is an interesting read. I’m sure lots of you will have read his articles on ‘Nerds and Male Privilege’, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who found his views on ‘Twilight and Relationships’ very refreshing compared to all the ‘OMGZ I LOVE BELLA AND EDWARD AND JAKE AND I WANT THAT LIFE’ that seems to exist! The tone of the blog is wonderful, easy to read and I find I am reading it and thinking, ‘Yes! That is exactly what I think, I am just not articulate enough to explain it!’

TL;DR, Read the article I linked, Harris O’Malley is amazing.
